Johnny's birthday game
We had a birthday party for Johnny at the Crab Pot. The food was pretty good but service was horrible! And kind of expensive for not much food.
The best part of the night was the Hold Em cash game afterwards. I didn't have cash so I borrowed a buyin from Shon. Lost that, then borrowed another 20 from Drew. (Not bringing cash to a poker game is an asshole move, I know.)
I generally made good decisions and got lucky in the right spots. There were a couple of big calls I'm particularly proud of. They were good reads and I'm glad I had the courage to trust my gut. Did a lot sparring with Tung and Drew, but not much with Shon. That was a interesting change in dynamics. Or maybe I'm reading too much into it.
Tung walked away the big winner and treated us to Tasty Garden. I had the disgustingly gray, but really really tasty steamed pork with salted fish.
I started the night with no cash and ended up having dinner, good gambling fun, present for Johnny, midnight snack and $60 in my pocket all covered by a game of cards. :D Poker is better than an education, kids!
